9th March 2009 - Updates

I've been shooting a lot recently on the compact camera (Canon Powershot G5) that my work colleagues bought as a wedding present. It's easier to stick in a rucksack than the full DSLR kit, and it has most of the same levels of control as my main camera. That was the camera that came on honeymoon with us, though next time we go away I'll be taking the SLR and my newest acquisition, a fastish 70-200mm telephoto zoom lens. Only yesterday I was on a hill above Horwich shooting horses and sheep in a rapidly changing mix of snow and sunlight with the G5 and it performed pretty well at shooting dramatic clouds with sun bursting through. As it turned out, I only got one or two complete shots that are worth keeping, but I got myself a nice library of skies I can add to more arty stuff. :o)
